Far Cry 4 is set to kyrat, a Himalayan region as spectacular as wild and dangerous, in the fight against a regime proclaimed by a despotic ruler. Leveraging a wide range of weapons, vehicles and animals, players will experience a new adventure in an exotic setting and free roaming.
The mission is not complicated, you just go and retrieve objects inside an enemy outpost, the stuff of everyday kyrat. To get there we decide to drop the gyrocopter that the place is so close, and the quad will do to make the handful of curves that separates us from the lens.
We overcome the first two corners darting on dirt roads: on the left the mountain, on the right the cliff and breathtaking scenery, the end is a beautiful day today and soon will make it even more productive. This is just one example of how the feeling in there Far Cry is just what you expect, initially all too similar to the excellent chapter that preceded the fourth episode but then more and more engaging so that the effect of déjà vu is increasingly blurred under the broad strokes of fun coloring the world of Ubisoft.
Now there WOULD a lot ‘of characters on the history but we must refrain from telling every detail of one of the most successful aspects of the game, which so broadly you already know what happens: wild mountainous region and rural dictator out of my head (but not too much), civil war. We do not want to go to deepen the development of events and spoil surprise, not that there are twists incredible, but it’s nice to be told a story curated and quality without someone did spoiler before.
Our advice is to have a little ‘patience at the beginning, when including its narrative similarities with Vaas and tropical islands are a bit’ too much, and let the good characterization of (almost) all the characters face his duty in involve you in a world that appears exquisitely alive. The priest who traffics in arms and diamonds, mixing a sacredness exasperated the profanity of certain businesses, and the excellent comedy duo of amazed we were talking about at the beginning, are probably the most compelling characters but also the main figures in the history manage to pierce the screen with their personality, with space also some surprises.
One of the big questions of this episode is probably related to the charm main antagonist, apparently less convincing than the very successful looming madman with his madness on Far Cry 3. In a sense it is true, Pagan Min is much less over the top of Vaas but they are two completely different figures and built around distant archetypes, and the comparison loses more and more importance as you proceed in the adventure and discover the many behind the scenes of a narrative capable of maintaining high curiosity until the final stages.
Among the new enemies of this chapter there are hunters, agile movements and annoying evoking wild beasts.
Alongside the main quests are the usual plethora of additional content that now is a bit ‘the trademark of Ubisoft games. Even in Far Cry 4 will have many quests to unlock helpful upgrades for our protagonist (organized in two branches, one more stealth and other survival) and a ton and a half of parallel activities to be carried out at will. For example you can go hunting for enhanced pockets (increasing the number of weapons transportable, as well as the capacity of the backpack and various cases), which, however, may turn up their noses at those unwilling to engage in typically male pastime of bullfighting (or fight with animals in general), and saw her as a constraint.

That said, we can only give an opinion very positive to the artistic direction, apparently cured, and especially the technical implementation of Far Cry 4, which is a joy to behold. When one lever flying gyrocopter (really handy for travel) or flutters with hang gliding, you can admire views of great impact and with a pop-in of objects and textures definitely bearable.
The environments are very nice but the digressions to Shangri La are always welcome (and well done) to break the monotony.
We tried the PlayStation version 4 of the title and we encountered no serious problems except when a gun is stuck in a box and we are no longer able to take it, but a glitch in 3 days and there is also the feeling is that the game engine is solid enough to ensure stable experience on all platforms. Remains the unknown factor of the PC version, platform on which Ubisoft is held particularly eye after limping Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed Unity, but we are happy to say that on consoles there were the problems which marred the launches of these two titles.
In short, you can play quietly in your game and maybe invite a friend to launch towards the conquest of the fortresses more difficult to attack the online co-op. The missions of the main campaign not be faced when you are in the company but the rest of the world remains intriguing and in two of course the fun increases, even if the title does not fit the difficulty and therefore the outposts that were fairly easy now become just a walk .

The two teams facing each other (in canonical mode much like capture the flag, or the conquest of positions) are differentiated from arsenal and offensive capabilities. On the one hand we have the warriors with standard weapons and vehicles, while the other fighters linked to indigenous culture, able to become invisible when crouched and summon animals.
Just a few games to realize how the latter are advantaged, if only for the fact of being able to disappear into thin air and pounce on unsuspecting opponents. If we add to this the maps overly large, and the respawn points are too far away from the action, the impression is that it serves any corrections to make palatable the competitive multiplayer, as things little more than a filler.
The stealth approach is almost always preferable, and some missions demand it, although you can always opt for the entry explosive.
An hour in kyrat and Far Cry 4 appears the third chapter with another texture pack, after three hours we begin to suspect something, and within four or five hours we find ourselves embroiled in a vibrant world and engaging, enriched by many stimuli and by a well-scripted story with characters made wisely. Great dubbing in Italian, with lyrics that are not artificial and that more than once tear a smile, and remarkable musical accompaniment, always on the piece.
The variety of missions is guaranteed by the many characters that we offer, with some digression in unique environments (the mythical Shangri La or the snowy peaks of the mountain range) and the satisfactory progression of the character contributes to the weight of their actions in the world of game.
Far Cry 4 does not reach voting more just because it seems a bit ‘lazy in some mechanical trace all too faithfully the third episode, for a gunplay sometimes inaccurate and a multiplayer segment that meets only half. That said, we were three days in kyrat and we did not yet enough: things to do and many are still, and this is the thing that matters, the desire to make them has not only grown as they were playing. Do not know what to buy to spend evenings this November? Chances are good that the title Ubisoft is right for you.
